Medicare Savings Programs - Administered by the state of Idaho.

This program will pay your Medicare Part B premium (approximately $144 per month) and it will also pay for your Prescription Drug insurance..  Look at the table below to determine if your income level and your assets are low enough to qualify.    Remember that you don't have to count the value of your home or car.  For Income you need to include social security payments, money received from pensions, interest income, etc.

Extra Help - If you didn't qualify for the program above, you may still qualify for the Federal Government's program called "Extra Help" which will pay for one's prescription drug insurance.  To see if you qualify check the table below.

Your next Step:  If you qualify for one of the money saving programs above, you will need to go to the Rexburg Health & Welfare office at 333 Walker Drive and get a letter from them stating for which plan you qualified.  Ken or Dave will need this letter to help you figure out your options.  It's open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
